My Trip To Philly & D.C.

My Trip To Philly & D.C.

Not to long ago I went with the Anderson University SIFE chapter to our National Competition which was held in Philadelphia, PA. If you weren’t aware I helped SIFE create their competition DVD. I might post that here someday beware though that it’s almost 24 minutes long, and I don’t know how many people would be interested in downloading a copy. That’s besides the point, we did well in Philly. One of the best competition teams AU has seen, something I’m proud of. Our team was awesome.

After we were done competing a group of us took off to sight see in Philly and also took a short drive to Washington D.C. before heading home to Anderson, Indiana. According to one of my friends John Tibbs Philly is dirty. While I agree it’s a slightly dirty city, it’s also a great city full of people who love to honk. We went to the art museum where Rocky did his thing. It’s funny watching other tourists like ourselves run up the stairs reenacting the famous Rocky scene. We went to Pat’s and Geno’s to see who had the best Philly Cheesesteak. While I said Pat’s some others disagreed and went with Geno’s. One of my favorite spots ever was located in Philly, LOVE PARK! It’s one of the greatest spots known to skateboarding. It was awesome to get to see that. Just to experience downtown Philly was really cool.

As we headed to D.C. we stayed at a hotel in Fairfax, The Wolf Trap located in Fairfax. In the morning we rode the metro into the mall in D.C. Again we saw everything we could in one day. The Lincoln Memorial, the new World War II Memorial, Washington Monument, etc… We even got a cool tour of the Holocaust Museum. Sadly we had to head home on a 10 hour drive to Anderson. I had a great time as did everyone else, and of course I took a lot of pictures. In fact even more than what I posted from Spring Break. Without any further rambling here are my pictures of Philly and Washington, D.C.

If you’ve been to either of the cities, let me know what you though about your trip. I’m interested in hearing. Thanks for reading.
